Havana Republic [Sky Bar] meets Jane Productions Event Design

For the Red Lion Bridal Show I designed this H-O-T lounge.  With a retro feel yet ultra modern at the same time.  Havana Republic just opened the new Sky Bar upstairs.  They are opening it up to rent out for special occasions such as weddings, holiday parties, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties.  They are also offering a mobile bar service.  You can hire them for the location and cocktails....hire Jane Productions for the design and decor.  All that you will need to do is show up and have a great time!

Red Lion [bouquets]

The Red Lion Bridal Show was a huge success! The ultra amazing coordinator Amy Lee from Uptown Events pulled off a swankee bridal show right here in Southern Oregon!  The vendors were a select group, the best of the best wedding vendors from Southern Oregon.  Jane Productions [wedding & event design] was proud to be selected as one of the premium wedding vendors.
One of my favorite photographers, Rachel from Pixy Prints Photography was just a couple of booths down.  She brought a super styled photo booth for customers to try out and just have some fun!  (Her and I had to take a quick shot with the funny glasses and paper lips....so much F-U-N!)
She took a couple of my bouquets and photographed them for me, thanks Rachel!  You are seriously the Best!

my L-O-V-E my calling....

I asked a friend last night...is your job your passion.  He answered yes and continued to tell me about when he was a little boy he dreamed of growing up to be a vet.  His eyes swelled with tears and I felt the pride he feels in caring for animals.  As we sat around the fire I reflected on my choice to start an event design company.
At the end of every event I look around at the space I created and I get teary eyed....the pride is overwhelming at times.  It is a very emotional moment for me.  (I am sure the fact that I am sleep deprived doesn't help with the emotional state! haha!)
It is in that moment months of hard work realized, it is the final days of creating the little details, it is the friendships that have formed, it is the look on the brides face when she sees her bouquet,  it is the completion.

I L-O-V-E to create!  I L-O-V-E to play with flowers!
Since I was a little girl I have been creative and free spirited,
I feel extremely blessed to be able to use the gifts that I have been given naturally.
I L-O-V-E to create!  I L-O-V-E to play with flowers!

Thank you card from a mother-of-the-bride...

I received a special card in the mail. This card was sent to me from the Mother of the Bride from one of my weddings in 2011.
I'd like to share some of the kind words she shared with me.
"...your ideas for the wedding were great! ...so much more than what she (the Bride) had imagined in her mind."...."I've seen all of the pictures now and cry with joy every time I look at them. We were very lucky to have you!!"
~ Sandee
Mother of the Bride
Funny thing is I am the one that feels blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this union of love. It was such a pleasure working with these ladies. Such a joyful process! Thank you Sandee and Andrea for trusting me with your vision.

I had the privilege of working with this bride over the past few months. Her style is whimsical, unique, and eclectic. I can't tell you how much fun it was to design her wedding. Congratulations Kris and Pete!
Featured in this photo is the Brides bouquet. This is a European inspired design. This was my first attempt at this style...I must admit, I was in love!

Floral Artistry

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up"
- Pablo Picasso
Picasso's Summer Bouquet
I like to think of myself not as a florist.  I think of myself as a Floral Artist.  Not every bouquet is a unique piece of art.  But when the oppurtunity arises to create something truly unique and distinctive, well, that simply brings an artist much joy.
Bouquet & Bout made with organic florals and recycled computer parts

While on one of my trips to Southern California working with my sister's company, we were given a challenge.  Create a 'green' wedding theme for a display at a book signing.  We brainstormed and came up with the idea to tear apart an old computer and use the parts to make various wedding items.
What we didn't anticipate was how much work it is to tear apart a recycled comptuter.  We sat in her garage with hammers and other tools hacking away.  We laughed so hard as computer parts flew across the room.
At the end of the day, we had created a bouquet, boutonniere, centerpiece, and table number out of computer parts and organic floras.  We we proud to display our unique works of art!
I am excited to have a wedding this summer here in Southern Oregon that the bride has an artistic and eclectic flair.  We are having so much fun designing her wedding!

bou·quet pas·sion [pash-uhn]:

1.a bunch of flowers; nosegay.
1.any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.
2.strong amorous feeling or desire; love; ardor.

I absolutely treasure my time making my Bride's Bouquets.  I want my Bride's bouquet to be perfect and fresh for the big day.  I set the alarm for 3 am......rub my eyes...and get to it!  My brides deserve a bouquet that is splendid to accompany them down the aisle.

{Inspiration}Reality

Romantic Rose Garden Inspirations
My bride and groom came to me with a vision.  My adorable bride knew exactly what she wanted.  She pulled out her spiral notebook with pictures clipped out of various wedding magazines taped to the pages.  She had already decided on a venue.  The beautiful rose garden at Eden Valley Vineyards.  I wanted to give the couple what they were envisioning, only better.  The first image is an image sent to me after our first meeting.  I loved this couples' style and was excited to help this vision become a reality.  Months of planning ensued.  The moment of  completion came.  As I looked around I literally got chills from head to toe.  It was truly breathtaking.  I felt like I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real.  One of my proudest moments as a professional wedding designer!  Below is a couple of the images of the centerpieces, just a portion of the overall design.  I am smiling now as I look at the beautiful centerpieces my team and I delivered that day!

Southern Oregon Wedding Expo

The Southern Oregon Wedding Expo was a huge success!  I am so proud of the teamwork between Jane Productions and Marigold {Vintage Event Rentals}.  We worked around the clock to bring visitors a unique and beautiful booth.  Our hard work certainly paid off.  We had many visitors; we shared our story and heard theirs.  Interacting with upcoming brides is an energizing experience.  I love these bridal shows!  Both Jane Productions and Marigold have received multiple bookings from this one show.  I have a feeling we might get booked for this coming wedding season!  The fusion of my design and Kelle's vintage furniture is brilliant....can't wait to rock it out!
Here are some images the talented Rachel from Pixy Prints shot for us.  She is a gifted photographer as you can see, these images look like they could be on a cover of a magazine.  Thank you Rachel for taking the time to take these amazing images for us!  To see more of this talented ladies' work go towww.pixyprints.com

details details....

Personalized Wedding Signs

After months of planning....it's time to get to the little details!  I surprised some of my brides with these details in the image above.
I love personalized elements.  Give me some old barn wood, chalkboard paint, extra flowers, pretty much anything and I will give you that special personal touch!  Some of these little details my brides don't even noticed on their wedding day.  I always get a call down the road after the bride views her images.
"I love how you carved our initials in the birch bark" -Kim, The Bride
another one I liked was;
"My daughter noticed all of the extra details you added.....and loved each one!  Her wedding day far exceeded her expectations!" -Susan, Mother of The Bride
One of my personal favorites was the road sign I made out of old barn wood.  It was placed at the end of the street leading to the ceremony.  Each sign marked different landmarks in Southern Oregon.
Of course, 'happily ever after' pointing to the direction of the wedding.
Don't forget, the personalized elements should reflect your style!

Marigold {vintage event rentals}

I am so excited and proud to be a part of Marigold {vintage event rentals}.  My friend Kelle Hill has been selling repurposed vintage furniture at her shop The Farmhouse, in Grants Pass Oregon.  Her style is unmatched and the unique finds are flying out the door.  I have fallen in love with her creations.  It seemed like the perfect fusion, my event and wedding design with her repurposed treausures.  We will be introducing marigold{vintage event rentals} to the world (well Southern Oregon anyways) at the Southern Oregon Wedding Expo.  Our booth will feature some of the rentals available with my wedding designs; such as a custom canopy, unique floral arrangements, and other darling details.

A few words from Kelle:
I'm excited to announce after months of work, " marigold {vintage event rentals}".  Our company supplies unique one-of-a-kind pieces and props for brides, event planners, designers and photographers. we have sofas, shabby chic church pews, farm tables, shutters, old windows, watering cans, chairs, and a large variety of vintage accessories...the collection continues to grow daily.  These items will help give weddings, photo shoots and events; style and originality. We will be hosting our first sneak peak at the Southern Oregon Wedding Expo, January 22nd & 23rd. Click on this link, marigoldrentals.blogspot.com to visit her blog.
