The Special Event 2013

Back from 'the windy city', Chicago!  Had a great time attending The Special Event 2013 conference.  I was inspired by the speakers, trade show, and most of all the spectacular city itself.  The citys cape is magnificent, the food divine, and the cold crisp air was refreshing.
My favorite module while at this inspiring conference was Flower Trends Forecast 2013.  The speakers for this seminar were two IFD certified and award winning event designers Bill Schaffer and Kristine Kratt.  Their creativity and understanding of floral design was brilliant.  I left this seminar feeling motivated and energized for the upcoming wedding season.
They shared with us four dinstinct styles that they feel will be the top trends for this year.
Eco Chic: organic materials presented in a modern way
Heirloom: embracing the past but in a romantic manner that provides a modern feel
Enchanted: Rich jewel tones with exotic elements of fairytale and whimsical storybooks.
Personality palette:  Ignite our emotions and reflect our individuality and express our bright playful side

We at Jane Productions are excited to implement these designs into our events here in Southern Oregon.
Southern Oregon weddings.... look out!    I can see these design being used from the bride's bouquet to the centerpieces.  We are about to have a fun season in 2013!!

Also, if you are just as interested in floral design as I am....check out this video.  Just a sample of the seminar I had the privilege of attending!

Pantone's HOT colors for the 2013 season!

I am always excited to see what colors are trending for the season.  Here is Pantone's inspiration board of their Hot picks!  It will be interesting to see how the design team at Jane Productions will be able to use this inspiration and add our own spin on things!  I will be showing these colors to all of my potential brides and look forward to helping them design their dream wedding!

danae + leo

Danae and Leo's wedding turned out simply perfect.  Danae and Leo's style was anthroplogie, vintage with small modern twists.  Danae loves flowers and really wanted the flowers to "pop".  We decided to use a neutral base with vibrant colored flowers.  We achieved the  pop of color she was looking for and then some.  Their wedding was featured on the wedding blog www.loveandlavender.com . Check out this chic wedding site for inspiration and to view the full post.

{bridal bouquets}

One of my favorite parts of executing the design to any wedding is when I get to make my bridal bouquet.  For me it is very intimate and really shows how well I know my brides style.  When I deliver these beauties to my brides I know imediately by the look on their face if they love it.  I've gotten many embraces and even a few tears when delivering these floral treasures.

Celebrating Good Times!

I have some exciting news to share!!  I am going to be leaving
the 9-5 grind and dedicating myself to Wedding and Event design
full time!!  Between doing weddings and events here in Southern
Oregon and working with my sister in So Cal.... I am sure to be a
very busy lady!
I am also currently moving my Jane Productions inventory and
production tools to a studio which will be dedicated to Jane
Productions.  (no more taking over my personal home every time
I have an event! Which my kids are happy about! haha)
I feel extremely grateful to have this opportunity to fulfill my dream
and commit to my passion.  I could not have done this without the
support of amazing family and friends!  Thanks to those of you
that helped me create this path!

amore bridal show

Spirit, Paco (cute Havana Bartender), me, and Amy. These girls are rockstars!

Amore Bridal Show was held at Sky Bar inside Havanna Republic in Medford, OR.  This was the swankiest and most entertaining bridal event to hit Southern Oregon.  The runway show began with a modern ready to wear 'engagement' line from Urban Minx.  Then Penna and Pearl sent down some elegant bridal gowns.  Followed by an edgy and unique line from Spirit House Productions.  Last was a fun and spunky honeymoon line from Urban Minx.  Intermixed within the show was some amazing local talent.  A couple danced the sexy Tango, a street performer danced some hip hop, and a beautiful young songstress sang a lovely melody!  It was such a great show....so happy to be a part of it!  I, Jane Productions, did the set design and the fresh flower bouquets for the models.  My favorite design is the white and gold bouquet with a bracelet that attached to the bouquet with gold chains....so rad!!
I would like to give some credit where credit is due.  Spirit (Spirit House Productions) and Amy (Uptown Events) worked hard to coordinate this event.  Rachel of Pixy Prints Photography captured this amazing event and my bouquets perfectly.  And the Sky Bar (upstairs from Havana Republic) allowed us to host this show at their awesome venue!!  Great team.....and it showed!  We will be putting on another similar show this coming September as it was so much fun and such a huge success! Below are just a few of the images!

d i s p l a y 4 f u n !

I just received these images from an open house I did a little display for, Serendipity.  I did it just for fun and to do something creative.  I took a black frame and made the inside with fresh red rose petals.  A sort of large composite rose.  Then covered a red stiletto shoe with fresh rose petals.  I did a Jeff Latham inspired bouquet to finish this dramatic look.  Thanks Mikell Louise Photography for these beautiful images!   http://mikelllouise.com

Havana Republic [Sky Bar] meets Jane Productions Event Design

For the Red Lion Bridal Show I designed this H-O-T lounge.  With a retro feel yet ultra modern at the same time.  Havana Republic just opened the new Sky Bar upstairs.  They are opening it up to rent out for special occasions such as weddings, holiday parties, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties.  They are also offering a mobile bar service.  You can hire them for the location and cocktails....hire Jane Productions for the design and decor.  All that you will need to do is show up and have a great time!

Red Lion [bouquets]

The Red Lion Bridal Show was a huge success! The ultra amazing coordinator Amy Lee from Uptown Events pulled off a swankee bridal show right here in Southern Oregon!  The vendors were a select group, the best of the best wedding vendors from Southern Oregon.  Jane Productions [wedding & event design] was proud to be selected as one of the premium wedding vendors.
One of my favorite photographers, Rachel from Pixy Prints Photography was just a couple of booths down.  She brought a super styled photo booth for customers to try out and just have some fun!  (Her and I had to take a quick shot with the funny glasses and paper lips....so much F-U-N!)
She took a couple of my bouquets and photographed them for me, thanks Rachel!  You are seriously the Best!

my L-O-V-E my calling....

I asked a friend last night...is your job your passion.  He answered yes and continued to tell me about when he was a little boy he dreamed of growing up to be a vet.  His eyes swelled with tears and I felt the pride he feels in caring for animals.  As we sat around the fire I reflected on my choice to start an event design company.
At the end of every event I look around at the space I created and I get teary eyed....the pride is overwhelming at times.  It is a very emotional moment for me.  (I am sure the fact that I am sleep deprived doesn't help with the emotional state! haha!)
It is in that moment months of hard work realized, it is the final days of creating the little details, it is the friendships that have formed, it is the look on the brides face when she sees her bouquet,  it is the completion.

I L-O-V-E to create!  I L-O-V-E to play with flowers!
Since I was a little girl I have been creative and free spirited,
I feel extremely blessed to be able to use the gifts that I have been given naturally.
I L-O-V-E to create!  I L-O-V-E to play with flowers!

Thank you card from a mother-of-the-bride...

I received a special card in the mail. This card was sent to me from the Mother of the Bride from one of my weddings in 2011.
I'd like to share some of the kind words she shared with me.
"...your ideas for the wedding were great! ...so much more than what she (the Bride) had imagined in her mind."...."I've seen all of the pictures now and cry with joy every time I look at them. We were very lucky to have you!!"
~ Sandee
Mother of the Bride
Funny thing is I am the one that feels blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this union of love. It was such a pleasure working with these ladies. Such a joyful process! Thank you Sandee and Andrea for trusting me with your vision.

I had the privilege of working with this bride over the past few months. Her style is whimsical, unique, and eclectic. I can't tell you how much fun it was to design her wedding. Congratulations Kris and Pete!
Featured in this photo is the Brides bouquet. This is a European inspired design. This was my first attempt at this style...I must admit, I was in love!
